The Walk From Our Store
About 15 minutes via 14th Street east to 1st Avenue, then south to 9th Street. The route runs through the East Village proper, the walk is straightforward and well-lit through evening hours. Alternative routes via 13th Street or 12th Street through the residential blocks of the East Village offer quieter walks at the cost of a few extra minutes. The reverse walk back to our store is equally accessible.
Alphabet City Coverage
Avenue A through Avenue D are all inside our delivery zone. Tompkins Square Park sits between Avenues A and B at 9th Street, and the residential blocks of Alphabet City fan out east from there to the East River. Most addresses in the corridor receive same-day delivery in 30 to 45 minutes. The Avenue A and Avenue B blocks tend toward the faster end of the range, Avenues C and D run slightly longer.
Park Culture And History
Tompkins Square Park has a long history as a community gathering and protest space, dating back to the 19th century. The annual Howl Festival, the Wigstock revivals, and various seasonal community events preserve the park's role as a cultural anchor.
The dog run on the southwest corner is one of Manhattan's most-active. The chess tables and quiet reading benches along the perimeter offer a slower rhythm than the central paths. Avenue A north and south of the park runs heavy with restaurants, bars, and music venues.
