The Store
Green Genius sits on 3rd Avenue between East 18th and East 19th, a few blocks north of Union Square and a few south of Madison Square Park. Walking distance from Gramercy Park's south gate, Stuyvesant Square, Irving Plaza, and Pete's Tavern. The location was a deliberate pick. We wanted a neighborhood dispensary in a neighborhood that still felt like one.
We opened under New York's CAURD program in 2024, license OCM-CAURD-24-000166. That license number is on every product we sell, on our delivery receipts, and posted at the door. We pay tax. We get audited. We lab-test every batch. That bar matters because the alternative, the unlicensed smoke shops that proliferated 2022 through 2025, was never going to be a real neighborhood institution.
Inside the store: a curated wall of New York flower, a long edible counter, a vape and concentrate case, and a small accessories rack. We chose to be small on purpose. The buying team can know every SKU on the shelf and tell you the actual difference between two strains without reading the label.

NY Producers First
Hudson Cannabis, Florette, Rolling Green, Back Home, Ayrloom, Jaunty, Ruby Farms. We open meetings with New York growers before we look at out-of-state imports. The Catskills and Hudson Valley produce some of the best craft flower in the country right now.
Lab Data Open
Every product has a Certificate of Analysis on file. Cannabinoid profile, terpene profile, residual solvent results, pesticide screen, heavy metal screen, microbial screen. Ask any budtender, we will pull it up at the counter.
Tested Internally
Before a SKU goes on the floor, two budtenders have tried it. We write tasting notes in our internal book. If a product does not pass the team's bar, it does not get on the shelf. Period.

Are you a chain?
No. Green Genius is single-store independent. The store, the menu, and the buying team are all rooted in Gramercy.
Where does the menu come from?
Curated by our in-house buying team. We work directly with New York State growers and processors, with a Hudson Valley and Catskills lean for flower, plus a vetted out-of-state roster for categories where the New York supply hasn't matured yet.
What does 'Sustainably Lit' mean?
Our positioning. It captures the kind of cannabis experience we stock for: well-grown product from licensed producers, paced consumption, fitting cannabis into a life you already like rather than detaching from it.
