What You Should Know
Faculty And Graduate Housing
NYU faculty housing and graduate-student residences occupy a meaningful portion of the surrounding Village blocks. We deliver to these residential addresses normally, the buildings function as regular Manhattan apartments rather than dorms. The lobby or designated-entrance handoff process is standard. Doormen and concierge staff in the larger faculty buildings know our courier routine, the handoff typically takes about two minutes once we arrive.
What We Do Not Do
We do not deliver into NYU residence halls (the dormitory buildings). Residence hall policy and state law both restrict the delivery channel. Students living in residence halls who want cannabis delivery would need to receive at a non-dorm address (a friend's apartment, a faculty contact, or any non-NYU residence). The restriction is not specific to Green Genius, every licensed New York retailer operates under the same constraint.
Bobst Library And The Academic Core
Bobst Library, the Kimmel Center, the Tisch School buildings, and the surrounding academic spaces shape the rhythm of the immediate area. Daytime foot traffic is intense during the academic year and notably quieter during summer and winter breaks.
Cannabis use patterns shift seasonally, with the academic-year volume favoring discreet formats (vape pens, edibles, tinctures) for faculty and graduate-student customers who want low-impact daytime use.
Washington Square Park Adjacency
Washington Square Park sits at the geographic center of the NYU core, our park-specific page covers the park dynamics in more detail. The combined NYU-and-park area produces a steady residential delivery pattern through the academic year, with peaks around the start of semesters (when new arrivals are stocking apartments) and around major events at the park or campus venues. The 30 to 50 minute delivery window covers the whole zone reliably.
Pre-Show At Skirball And Other Campus Venues
NYU's Skirball Center for the Performing Arts hosts a rotating program of theater, music, and dance. Pre-show pickup from our store for Skirball attendees is a recurring pattern, the venue calendar runs roughly 80 to 120 events per year. The walk from our Gramercy store to Skirball is about 15 minutes, the same range as Washington Square Park itself. Pickup orders staged ahead let attendees collect on the way to the venue without disrupting the show schedule.
