Super Boof Detail
What To Expect
Effects & Experience
Super Boof is a hybrid that most people experience as uplifting and energizing — a bright, clear-headed lift that tends to feel creative, focused, and social. The onset is usually quick and heady, which is why it's a favorite for daytime use, conversation, and staying engaged with whatever you're working on. There's a calm, even-headed quality underneath that keeps it from feeling racy, but it's not a couch strain — it leans functional. With THC frequently in the mid-to-high 20s, it's potent, so pacing matters even for regular consumers, and a small dose goes a long way for lower-tolerance folks. People reach for Super Boof to start the day with some lift, for a talkative social setting, or for a creative or active afternoon. As always, effects vary by individual, batch, terpene load, and amount consumed.
Aroma & Flavor
Super Boof is all about loud, juicy citrus — it's the reason the strain blew up the way it did. The aroma jumps out as bright citrus and grapefruit, layered with dark berry, a sour-fuel edge, and peppery spice.
On the palate it's orange citrus and grapefruit up front (straight from the Tropicana Cookies parent), with black cherry richness from Black Cherry Punch, a creamy mid-palate, and a spicy, herbal finish. The driving terpenes are myrcene, caryophyllene (that peppery bite), and limonene (the bright citrus), with pinene and linalool in support. Well-grown Super Boof is dense and frosty, deep green with frequent purple expression and bright orange pistils. Between the grapefruit-cherry nose and the heavy trichome coat, it's a jar that punches well above its weight on flavor and bag appeal alike.
Genetics & Lineage
Super Boof was bred by California's Blockhead (Blockhead Buddies), who originally released it under the name 'Blockberry' around 2019. The cross is Black Cherry Punch — a dark, fruity, resinous cultivar — and Tropicana Cookies, the citrus-loud GSC x Tangie descendant. That pairing is the whole story: bright orange-grapefruit citrus from Tropicana Cookies, deep cherry-berry richness from Black Cherry Punch. The strain really took off when Michigan grower and influencer Mobilejay began running and promoting it under the Super Boof name in the early 2020s, and the catchier name stuck industry-wide. It became one of the breakout citrus strains of its era, winning fans on flavor and a reliably uplifting, functional high. Today Super Boof is a respected modern hybrid and an increasingly common parent in new citrus-forward crosses.
Who It Suits & How To Enjoy
Super Boof suits consumers who want a loud, citrus-forward hybrid that keeps them clear-headed and moving — a strong daytime and social pick rather than a bedtime strain. Its uplifting, creative-focused character makes it great for getting things done, conversation, or an active afternoon. Because it routinely tests in the mid-to-high 20s, start low and build up if you're newer or sensitive to potent THC. Flower fans love it in clean glass to capture the grapefruit-cherry terps, and it makes excellent live resin, rosin, and vapes where the citrus profile gets even brighter. Pair it with a creative session, a daytime hang, or a project you want to power through. If you'd rather stay mellow, keep the dose modest — the body side is light and even-headed.
